How to control your Somfy Protect System with Amazon Alexa?
Amazon Alexa is an intelligent voice assistant developed by Amazon. It is integrated into Echo devices (such as Echo Dot, Echo Show) and is available on smartphones via an application (Amazon Alexa). Alexa can perform a variety of tasks through voice commands.
You don't speak directly to your Somfy Protect products, but to the Alexa assistant who then relays the command to your system.
What You Need
Make sure you have a device with Amazon Alexa assistant and a connected, functional Somfy Protect system.
You can control the following Somfy Protect equipment:
- Somfy Security Camera
- Somfy One / One+
- Somfy Home Alarm
- Somfy Home Alarm Advanced
- Somfy Home Alarm Essential
The Alexa Application is compatible with the following operating systems and software versions:
- iOS 14.0 and higher
- Android 9.0 and higher
What Can I Do
With Amazon Alexa coupled with Somfy Home Alarm and/or Security Camera, you can:
- Activate and deactivate your alarm
- Activate night mode
How To Link
It is very simple to your Somfy Protect system with Alexa:
- Go to the Settings menu
- Then in the "My Smart Home" section, click on "Amazon Alexa"
- Click on "Link Alexa" and accept.

How to Change Your Password
You need to choose a password to protect your installation. This password is necessary to disarm the system.
Everything is configured by voice, but you can also change the Alexa password in your Somfy Protect app. Go to the 'Settings' menu > My Smart Home > Amazon Alexa > Change my Alexa password. You must enter a new password, then confirm it to validate.
How To Change the Controlled Somfy Protect Site
If you have multiple installations associated with your Somfy Protect account, you can switch from one site to another by changing it from your Somfy Protect app. Go to the dashboard, then select the desired site from the top menu by pressing the arrow.

Multiple users can use an Alexa device to control the Somfy Protect equipment.
Alexa can recognize different voices through the "Voice Profiles" feature. Each user must set up their voice profile for the assistant to assign personalized commands. Each user must link their Somfy Protect account to their own Alexa account via the Alexa app.Alexa devices share the same Amazon account, so all users in the same household can interact with the same smart objects.
