In all these cases, we collect or process personal data in accordance with the regulations in force.

My preferences apply when :

  • I visit a SOMFY website
  • I interact with SOMFY to manage my contractual relationship
  • I use a SOMFY device
  • I visit a SOMFY website
  • I connect to certain platforms or other solutions provided by SOMFY.

SOMFY may sometimes collect information about me from third parties or from other sources open to the public.

For example :
Information available on the website of my company or from public registers such as the Trade Register.

I understand who may have access to my data

SOMFY does not sell any personal data to third parties.

SOMFY may share my data with its employees in the various services and with other SOMFY group companies, only when necessary.

 

SOMFY can also share my data:

  • With third-party service providers that assist SOMFY in carrying out its mission, for example: software providers, hosting or legal/tax advisory services, as well as transport or credit card/banking services
  • If a SOMFY entity is merged with, or sold to another company.

SOMFY only shares my data when it is necessary to carry out its professional missions and maintain an effective business structure (that is, in its legitimate interest):

In case of transfer to third parties, SOMFY ensures that they process and secure my data in accordance with the legal standards applicable to personal data.

 

SOMFY’s servers are mainly located in the European Union, the EEA and Switzerland. SOMFY only transfers my data outside the European Union to essential service providers, who comply with the same protection rules as in the EU.

Ethics and SOMFY commitments

SOMFY undertakes to process personal data only in a manner that is appropriate, relevant and limited to the purposes for which it was collected.

 
How does SOMFY protect my data ?

SOMFY implements a series of technical and organisational measures to secure and protect my personal data against any destruction, loss, alteration or unauthorised access.

SOMFY personnel, agents and subcontractors who process my data are bound by an obligation of confidentiality or must comply with an appropriate regulatory obligation of confidentiality.

SOMFY imposes strict security obligations on all third party service providers, in accordance with what is provided for in this Policy.

 

SOMFY does not sell any personal data to third parties.

 

How does SOMFY keep my data ?

SOMFY retains my data for as long as necessary to perform the contract or to fulfil its retention obligations imposed by applicable laws and regulations (for example, for tax or audit purposes).

For example, SOMFY keeps cookies for a maximum of 13 months on our website, accounting documents (invoices, purchase order) for 10 years, contracts for 5 years from the end of the contract.

When it is no longer necessary to keep data that can always identify me, SOMFY may either delete it or make it anonymous or aggregate it so that I am no longer identifiable as a single natural person.
