Rottenburg – The Smart Home package by Somfy will part of the basic installations in the Viebrockhaus series, "MyStyle" and "Selection". In 2015, Somfy and Viebrockhaus enjoyed a mutual cooperation in providing building-owners with a solid-built house and intelligent home technology. Four years on, the home has become even smarter: The house automation system, Somfy TaHoma premium, is compatible with many current manufacturers´ systems and can be extended individually by the occupant at any time.

Energy savings through automated solar protection

A comfortable home starts with appropriate solar protection. Roller shutters, awnings, venetian blinds and more protect the home against overheating and cooling. The shutters´ radio motor, Somfy RS100, a central unit in the installation, scores highly with its reliable obstacle recognition feature as well as with both soft-start and soft-stop functions. Discreetly and quietly, it prevents irritating glare and heat build-up automatically. In addition, optional solar sensors and temperature sensors contribute to minimizing costs in climate control and heating.

Easy operability for high comfort

Important for a high level of comfort is the interior and exterior lighting. With Somfy TaHoma premium, Viebrockhaus owners are able to control this with the blink of an eye, by determining personal scenarios: At certain times, for example, the roller shutters or blinds go down and the light switches on. If the residents are away, then through these presence simulations, the home also appears to be occupied. The different functions of the Smart Home system can be controlled via a radio transmitter, own computer or via an app on a smartphone or tablet.

The solid-built house is protected all around

Security is a determining aspect in feeling good at home. The Somfy outside camera with its integrated motion detector, can be integrated easily in the Somfy TaHoma control centre, similar to the intelligent opening feature and a smoke warning alarm. The all-round danger warning system, Somfy Home Keeper, offers a proactive all-round protection for home and garden and completes the feeling of personal security.

Set to individual requirements

The introduction to the Smart Home system is provided through trained Somfy-service staff and the new solid-built house is planned to the requirements of the building`s owner. Operating the smart Viebrockhaus is done intuitively thanks to specially qualified data encoding. And naturally, the option of extending the system also guarantees added value, e.g. through speech control such as Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit.

Viebrockhaus was founded in 1954 by master mason, Gustav Viebrock in Harsefeld and today is led, in the third generation, as a family enterprise with 953 employees.
